Easy Apple Dumplings

I first enjoyed these little gems at Supper Club. My girlfriends and I take turns gathering at each others’ homes and enjoying a meal together once a month. On supper club night you can be sure of three things, amazing food will be eaten in large quantities, wine will flow, and our husband are no where to be found! Thanks for this great recipe Rachel!

2………………………Granny Smith Apples (peeled and sliced into 8 pieces each)

2 cans……………….cresent rolls

1 cup…………………butter

2 cups……………….sugar

1 teaspoon…………vanilla

1-1 1/2 cups……….Mountain Dew

A few dashes………Cinnamon

Roll one slice of apple into each crescent roll and place into 13″x9″ baking dish. Melt butter, sugar, and vanilla in a sauce pan using just enough heat to combine all. Pour over rolls, sprinkle with cinnamon; then pour Mountain Dew over top rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes then cover with foil and bake for another 10 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

This dip recipe is always a hit at parties. I’ve been making this dip for so long can’t recall where I originally got this recipe, but I’ve passed it on to many friends over the years.

1/2-3/4 cup……….. hot sauce

1 1/2-2 cups………..mild cheddar cheese, shredded

Tortilla chips for dipping.

Beat cream cheese, ranch dressing, and hot sauce. Fold into shredded chicken. Spread mixture into pie plate sprayed with Pam. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Add cheese on top and bake for another 10-15 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.
